The Ballinacurra Creek Section traverses close to Ballykeeffe, Ballinacurra and the Cresent Shopping Centre. In order to minimise closure of local roads this section will contain three bridges with one exceeding 100m in length.  Three non-national local roads will be facilitated either over (overbridge) or under (underbridge) the mainline including the St Nessan's Road (R526) and Ballykeeffe Boreen (LP1441). The R526 (St Nessans Road) Overbridge will be constructed in the vicinity of Ballinacurra Bridge to carry the realigned R526 over the mainline.  Additionally this overbridge will cross over a realigned section of Ballinacurra Creek and also the railway line.
